Secrets of Shadowbolting

For all of those who have not heard of the gong boss in ZA, you are lucky. Blizzard of Oz has never had an issue with the gong boss until very recently. The last patch has done many things and after about 20 minutes and 3 failed attempts to get into ZA, we vented our frustration in the local chat channels and a nice soul told us to just click once and let it go. All the poundings and beatings we had been doing were apparently screwing it up.

Who knew? Anyway, we don our halloween costumes, beat up the gong boss and head in.

We prance on through the instance, clearing all sorts of fun things, finally taking down Hex lord and seeing the infamous Zul’Jin.
He looked pretty scary.

but in the end, he fell like the rest.

We’ve now gone through with a couple of groups and again, as with almost every instance and raid, group makeup is key. If we’re stacked too heavily on melee or spell casters, certain aspects of the fight are painful at best. This is quite possibly the one thing that will be the most painful to us come the expansion. Melee DPS, Ranged DPS and finding the happy medium.

Now we just need to farm ZA a little more to get all the drops everyone wants before the expansion comes out.

i have not posted in a while and that is all my fault. I could use all sorts of excuses about being busy and having a lot of work but i know people would laugh and say tough..give me my updates…. so at least for starters, heres some pretty pictures of what the latest patch has done for me. It has allowed pugging of Hyjal with a mediocre group to take down Rage and almost Anetheron. It has made me grumpy with the new destro warlock build and has made me happy with priest healing but sad for mana regen.
I still do not have my spell rotation down for Vuur. It makes me quite sad and grumpy. To pass the time I’ve started boxing teams of 2 and power leveling. It has kept me more amused than fighting the DPS war to get the perfect rotation. No more sbolt spam, no more dot and sbolt. Now I have to mix fire and shadow and keep an imp alive. Lots of options….

It has also allowed silly people to attempt to attack a flight master in shat to much giggling of others….

Someone was running around shat with their phoenix mount. It was nice, pretty, sparkly and reminded me of fire. I want one….
