Secrets of Shadowbolting

We’ve been a little busy in Naxx. Took down Patchwerk the other day in a nice 1 shot.

Instructor Razuvious took a few more tries as our tanks had to sort out the mind controlling and releasing. Once the customized xperl to allow them to find their pet bar, it worked much better. 8 tries later (it may not have been that much) and he was down.

While i can make Frostweave bags now, they’re not cheap on mats at all. Poor Vuur keeps running out of space and purples keep getting DEed. The one annoying thing though is not all items can be DEed. Some of those rep items are not disenchantable at all – they have to be sold to the vendor..

and that’s just disheartening…

After the Instructor issues and watching some videos on Tank Spot, I was really thinking my UI needed an upgrade. I’ve been lazy I admit and I have been using xperl to take care of a lot of things for me. Cinderhelm’s UI looked pretty cool and they had some video how tos on how to set it up. Taking this in mind, I downloaded Pitbull and a couple of other addons and spent 45 minutes customizing my UI. I’m liking the new setup but I need to find a way to make my icons bigger. Warlocks are Dotaholics – we need to see our timers and i’m not used to the DoTimer addon enough yet to be happy.

My Death Knight and Druid are up to 72 and i took a short break yesterday to work on leveling my sub 20 pally and priest before the refer a friend wears off next month. Triple xp ftw…

So he’s a big bug. It’s nice, we had a few more wipes than anticipated, a few new members inducted into Naxx, you know how it goes. All that hard work, a pretty purple cloth drop….and the killer rolls to go along with it.

a whopping 2, 5, 5 for the clothies who can wear it. We gave it to the guy who rolled a 2 because how can you roll something like that and not win?

So when working on lots of AOE trash, I occasionally have some good ideas. I’m also apparently referred to as the DPS nazi.

Which i guess isn’t so bad as long as only the spiders suffer…

The continued questing through Naxx goes on. yesterday we took down Noth and let me tell you, this is much easier when done with 10 people….

1st round of Noth, one of our top dps rogues gets locked out of the instance. We 9 man it – 15 minutes later we wipe at about 2%. The sheer volume of AOE from the Guardian adds was staggering.

2nd round one of our priests get squished. Tank on adds ends up dying as we’re struggling to keep people up.

3rd time is the charm and down he goes, skellys and all.

Deciding we need something easier we head to Strat.

As you can see, we’re just wanna be’s. We’re not as cool as them.

Before WOTLK came out, we went around smashing some bosses. 10/28 was Onyxia

11/9 we headed into Black temple and took down Gorefiend…

and Bloodboil….

11/10 we go into SSC to start clearing things out and Vuur puts on the fire resist set for Leo… wipe fest ensues. Yes you really do need a lot of fire resist to not die

Not content with just 1 toon, I go on a leveling spree and boxing toons. 11/23 I had a death knight and druid ready to do regular underbog.

11/25 i’m at a whopping level 73…and getting made fun of in Grizzly Hills.

12/1 Now they’re not really naked. But something odd was going on that for the entire instance, i ran with naked people….. I’m not the only one who has seen this bug….promise.

12/5 I’m finally flying again in Northrend. It’s pretty chilly up here….

Last night we hit Naxx. Unfortunately I don’t have pictures of it but we were playing exterminators with the spiders. Took down Anuby and Faerlina and almost had Maexxna… under 2% and we squished….
